			<description>Great essay Byron. We do indeed need to make sure Reinhold Niebuhr's legacy is not forgotten or misappropriated by neo-cons who want to justify their wars.

I am not sure I go along with his charactization of pacifists as being &quot;noninterventionists who are embarrased by power.&quot; Perhaps like his brother H. Richard pacifists, have simply spent a lot of time with the simple non-violent teachings of Jesus and decided to take him at his word-- however impractical that may seem. - Bill McNabb</description>
